“Traveling” doesn’t solely imply traversing to the remote edges of the globe, rather it’s about seeing what’s outside my front door. It allows me to become immersed in moments of beauty and joy that continue to touch my soul long after I’ve left. Learning to pass slowly through a place that’s rushing all around, I often find a softness and wildness that I hold dear. Please enjoy some of my favorite adventures to date.
At the end of each Travel section you will find some Companion Stories for your perusal. They are written extensions of what you see here, plus more tales from the road. My travel stories parallel those of my Great Aunt Jean, whose passages you will find at the top of each post. She was a solo traveler before it was trendy, a woman ahead of her time whom I greatly admire.
